On March 20, 2007, at precisely 8:07 P.M. EDT (March 21, 00:07 Universal Time), the Sun crossed directly over the Earth’s equator. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere the vernal equinox marks the start of spring.

Digitalism Magazine’s RedFlash Bridal Jewellery welcomes spring with the colours of red and green with red being the reminder of blood, the colour of sacrifice and life. Green represents the sprouting of plants and food supplies being restored.

The date is significant in Christianity with Easter always on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The butterfly a symbol of Easter reflects the whole life cycle as symbolic of the meaning of the life of Christ. The various stages, first, the caterpillar stage , which stands for His life on Earth, then second comes the cocoon stage, symbolic of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. The third and final stage is the beautiful butterfly, the resurrection with wings which transform into flight and life.

Digitalism Magazine introduces Valenza’s Italian designer Luciano Tinelli as part of a tribute to the Spring Equinox and Bridal jewellery theme .

is applicable to the springtime bride as she starts her journey like a butterfly in life’s flight of endurance, pain, joy and metamorphosis.
