There is no joy

there is no trust
there is no faith
there is no hope
there is no tenderness
there is no spirit
there is no value
there is no worth
there is no honesty
there is no instinct
there is no voice
there is no innocence
there is no remorse
there is no caring

There is you .

There are many more like you.
There is numbness and coldness.
There is you reaching for currency
there is wood and you and paper burning
there is the wind
blowing so high,
tower of power
without a heart
texts from an emotional app
so simple to delete.
Call it conscious fingertips
go ahead uncouple yourself
let go your mate
watch your child heart split
into cold play

to care is a disorder
so forget those that loved you
to be numb is strong
to forget and not love
like a vine without roots
you were here
then no more
like vapor you are gone
with the power and the glory
of a digital god
join the graveyards of hashtags
hardware,robots, laptops
tablets cellphones
your final hour on a screen
then just like you never were
fade in fade out.

Even when the wind passes by
It won’t touch you.
You remain still
ashes unmoved in the
oasis of earth’s palm

i make a wish
and blow the flame
that was once human
in humble flesh
living unison
with land and seas
God and heaven
into eternity

Still we face
each our own
when garments shed
our time is paced
the ultimate irony
from a newborn cry
to an aging final breath
then and now
through one tunnel
from nothing
to something
to nothing
to something?
like vapor you are gone
with the power, the glory
of a digital god
the monster of addiction
captures millions
living in digital times
the end we know
the ending not.
