Keep The Promise
The grapes hang together
ripen with the sun
like helmets over barb wire
daughters and their sons
dripping blood of victory
their memory left forever.
Thanksgiving we forget
while brutality
so wretched
in treacherous struggle
sweeping terror
in never ending war.
Past lessons
never learn
as few to fewer
of us pray to yearn
hope, faith and love
are fallen leaves
blowing in the wind.
When will the flower
let be
to ripen into a grape?
When will we share the grapes
as bellies hunger?
No fault of sun or rain
which keep to promise
year after year
a forgiven yield
of cornucopia
Battles of battles
seek enemies of the enemy
finally friends of the enemy.
The climate of man
has turned dark.
Who can see a rainbow
when black skies
reign forever ?
He who casts sprigs of buds
into the glory of fire
knows not Thanksgiving .
For the chance of peace
and the chance for love
is a miracle waltz
with open arms
and dancing feet.
Let the most divine
white light
make these grapes to wine
May man learn to be thankful
for our spacious earth so kind.
Somewhere in the dirt
we must seek the vine
that leads us to our root
as we hear
the evil hearts
rumble in their beat.
The child’s cry for mercy
echoes desperate in its need .
Just one cry should
fill our ears
to stop.
Be thankful .
Pray.
The time is now
for our hearts
to humble
in hope the great Divine
once again
breaks the great divide
We have learned
from time
if we live evil
in time
time will emit
evil to live.
Forever.
The simple waltz
of letters make The Word
the remains of echoes
which spell the same
what is above
is the same as the bottom
what leads
will follow
e-v-i-l…
l-i-v-e…
t-i-m-e…
e-m-i-t…
evil live…time…emit
Let us pray
to bring the Promise
of the Word
by Faith
not by blood
but only
by faith
in Thanksgiving.
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 85:10
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other
