Digitalism Magazine plunges into June,Pearls and Weddings. As we enter the month of June the northern hemisphere is getting ready to depart from Spring and launch into the summer solstice officially 2007-06-21 at 18:13, marking the longest day of the year. Especially in the western world, June has become synonymous with marriage and the Roman Goddess Juno. Today, June is the catalytic month for weddings not only in the west but in many other parts of the world. According to a 2004 release Hallmark Cards showed 48 percent of Hallmark wedding cards being sold during summer months (May through August)with the wedding season rising in May and peaking in August and still maintaining high activity well into October.

Perhaps the rationale for June weddings stemmed from the ancient ritual of being married during the pre harvest celebration.
