Charlie Harper Charlie Sheen
Netgabber:
Do you recall the lyrics to Fiddler on The Roof?
The words went like so…
“Dear God, you made many, many poor people.
I realize, of course, that it’s no shame to be poor.
But it’s no great honor either!
So, what would have been so terrible if I had a small fortune?”
I’d build a big tall house with rooms by the dozen,
Right in the middle of the town.
A fine tin roof with real wooden floors below.
There would be one long staircase just going up,
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.”
The Thinker:
So ? What brought that to mind?
Netgabber:
Well isn’t that what everyone wants? We may dream of making a small fortune but nobody aspires to be poor. Then there are those whose ambition makes them a fortune. They hit gold. That’s just what CBS and Warner Brother’s sitcom, “Two and a Half Men” did. They hit gold with Charlie Harper when they cast Charlie Sheen to play the role. The last line in the lyrics from Fiddler on the Roof is so mystical about the staircase, “leading nowhere, just for show”…well it may be seen analogous to the passageway which Charlie Harper climbed in a drunken stupor to entertain us, while we the audience applauded and laughed. The “stairway for show” led a small fortune to grow out of control until it piled up high overlooking a dark greedy frontier to nowhere, leaving only the sounds and echoes of clapping hands and laughter.
The Thinker:
Yes the long journey leading nowhere, just for show… Everyone including CBS and Warner Brothers knew what Charlie Sheen’s lifestyle has been the last couple of decades yet the show went on leading to millions of dollars in profit and a whole lot of laughs. No one pointed a finger at the morality of the show or the dysfunctional character of Charlie Harper or the role being played by real life doppelganger Charlie Sheen. These were not concerns because it was entertainment which kept the network, the producers and the cast literally “laughing to the bank”
Netgabber:
For quite a while the audience laughed while being entertained by the sitcom “Two and a Half Men” and continues to do so even with the reruns of the show’s episodes. The show no doubt is money making and a hit. Now Chuck Lorre and Charlie Sheen are at war. The show has come to a standstill. Comedy, reality and tragedy are all being tossed into a wheel of fortune. Who do you think is going to win in a legal battle of internal contradictions and judgmental twists and turns with The Plaintiff Charlie Harper Vs. Defendant Charlie Sheen ?
The Thinker:
The hypocrisy of it all comes in when the moral high ground suddenly takes command and all of a sudden, public drunkenness and the continued “disease-like” womanizing which have been persistent themes in the scripts of the show, are now considered inappropriate behaviors.
When Charlie Harper jumps out of fiction and plays out his own reality show one starts to see the tragic comedy of it all like the performance arts of a Shabbat goy turning distasteful in the Machiavellian theatre of media and entertainment.
Netgabber:
It’s not funny anymore. It’s very sad and it’s real. It’s time we all stopped being anti-Human. Charlie Harper, Charlie Sheen, its all the same.
The Thinker:
It also brings to mind the works of another Charlie i.e. Charles Darwin. Darwinism noted that “In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment.” This comeback or fight for suvival can be seen as Charlie Sheen starts a Twitter Account. Nathan Olivarez-Giles from The Los Angeles Times on March 3, 2011 reported Charlie Sheen to have broken an all time record of hitting “1 million followers on Twitter, which he did in 25 hours and 17 minutes.” This is apparent with Charlie Sheen’s hashtags on his twitter account such as #tigerblood one, and #winning have been “Sheening” the world of advertising in Social Media. Watch Bloomberg Television’s interview of Arnie Gullov-Singh, chief executive officer of Adly Inc.explains this phenomenon of nouveau branding by watching a video at :

Sheen’s lines like “Winning! Duh! ” and “I’m an f 18 bro” are being marketed as Tshirts at Zazzle dot ca.

The Thinker:
Well Two and a Half Men was a show created on Charlie Sheen’s Life and now Chuck Lorre’s dream is Charlie Sheen’s nightmare. I’m thinking No Charlie Sheen . No Show.
Netgabber:
No matter how Chuck Lorre crafts this new web to implement Ashton Kutcher as a Charlie Sheen replacement, I can’t help hearing Sheen’s voice describe this as a move where,
“there is no laughter, loyalty or love”
The Thinker:
Ashton Kutcher might think he won the lottery and went to heaven getting Charlie’s job. Time will tell whether that is in fact the best job ever.
Netgabber:
After The 70’s Show this could be the desperate claim to fame for Kutcher
The Thinker:
Ashton Kutcher’s real claim to fame will be his record on How to Be The Replacement Man ..He replaced Bruce Willis which already gives him 2.5 men points on his resume.
Netgabber:
If Life sheens for Charlie, Defeat is not an Option
Charlie Sheen will Win a second chance even if Chuck Lorre kills Charlie Harper
The Thinker: Hmmmm. A new reality show, I think I see something on the horizon jumping out of fiction. Something made for Sheen and Sheen only.
Netgabber: Well lets just hope Ashton Kutcher does not get Punk’d playing his new role as Walden Schmidt
The Thinker: Two and a Half Men’s future rides on Kutcher making it all About Schmidt as the new show opens with the funeral of Charlie Harper . Sounds like a very, very, dark comedy for die hard fans to handle.
Netgabber: The plan is to forget Charlie Harper ever existed and make one man’s footprint wiped out by another man’s shoe.
The Thinker: I hope Kutcher does not get Punk’d because Charlie’s ghost won’t have footprints.
Netgabber:
Watch the Charlie Sheen roast (#SheenRoast) by Seth MacFarlane on Comedy Central September 19, 2011 at 10/9c and while it may seem just a little funny, it airs the same night Chuck Lorre takes a shot at killing Sheen’s character Charlie Harper on Two and a Half Men’s season premiere.
The Thinker:
Sheen just might have the last laugh as the Magic Dragon puffs The NicoSheen, his Winning E-Cigarette after cooling down and making a comeback on his new sitcom,” Anger Management” which is to premiere during the summer of 2012.
Netgabber:
I think this calls for a new Jack Nicholson movie called, ” Anger Management About Schmidt” . By the way Sept 19/11 aired Two and A Half Men season premiere opening with the eulogy explaining the death of Charlie Harper that he “exploded like a balloon full of meat” .
The show lacked spontaneity while forcefully exploding like a bag of dead laughter that was cremated and kept air tight with ashes thrown distastefully upon the audience. The season premier must have been therapeutic for Lorre to get his childish tantrums explode out of his system but the effect was not the same for Charlie’s die hard fans. Deleting a flamboyant Charlie Harper attired in his famous bowling shirts and shorts to going extreme with a naked Schmidt and paying him big bucks, just does not make the cut. I would say Charlie Sheen was diplomatic when he said the show was” good” and Ashton was “terrific”. What else can he say when the script explodes Charlie Harper like a balloon of meat. In time will come the torpedo of truth.
The Thinker:
Maybe if Lorre wants the show to go on, he might need to change the title to Men on Pause
Netgabber:
Well I heard it through the reality grapewine , Kutcher’s eyes are a wandering and no longer in a “demi” state, his eyes have gone from demi state to eyes wide open.
The Thinker:
Yes Kutcher and Demi Moore are officially over. Now being on Lorre’s show, Kutcher’s real life is now the stage . Here we go again.
Netgabber: You know I wonder if Lorre would have wished that Kutcher be single in real life. I mean it would keep the fountain of youthful female followers on Twitter overflowing if Kutcher had the Single Playboy Still Not Settled image like Charlie had.
The Thinker:
Who knows who pulls the strings if you are a marionette. Kutcher is Lorre’s articulated puppet and his jointed limbs are moved by strings of dollar bills. The pain and suffering from temptation and fame casts upon by a magical wand is yet to be seen.
Netgabber:
Well with Desperate Demi’s 911 call we can see the pain and suffering has finally hit poor Demi. Not Ashton . Not Yet.
The Thinker:
Now with the network’s May ratings race and Charlie Sheen’s new TV show Anger Management to air in just 3 months, whats the next “Chuck Mate” move I wonder.
Netgabber:
Its a “Chuck mate” move alright… Lorre gets Charlie back into the Two And A Half Men episode airing April 30/2012 but this time as a ghost.
Thinker:
Hey didn’t I predict that Charlie would come back on Two and a Half as a ghost?
Netgabber :
Not only is Charlie back as a ghost but Charlie is back as a woman played by actress Kathy Bates.
Thinker:
Appears like Lorre is going through an underlying gender complex with a Freudian slip and overtones of a Sheen obsessive fixation
Netgabber:
Time for Chuck to go to Anger Management. By the way, Charlie’s new show, Anger Management, recently premiered in the U.S. but we Canadians have to wait to see it landing in Canada on August 12.2012
Thinker: Think Anger Management will be a winner
Netgabber: Well it is August 2012 and yes it is a winner.. Anger Management made the syndicate mark and Charlie will be entertaining us Canadians for years to come.
Thinker: Well alot of people are going to be coming to Charlie for a comic relief to Anger Management. Demi Moore should . She could be a winner coming on the show to vent about the new Mila Kunis Ashton Kutcher alliance.
Netgabber: If they got married they could make a common last name, something like
C-Kunis-Kut-her or Kunt-is-her, I dont know, just some hyphenated suggestions.
Thinker: Demi Moore… what better timing than on the eve of turning 50 to write a tell it all book with her recent signed $2-million dollar book publishing deal.
Netgabber: Yes and won’t that be a nerve wrecking page turner for Ashton when he gets his hands on that book. I think she should come on Anger Management to promote her new book.
Thinker: Wonder why Chuck Lorre needs an actor to play Charlie Harper on Two and a half Men when he gets rid of the real deal.. Is he haunted by Charlie? Can’t he think of anything else to support his orphaned support actors on the show?
Netgabber: Well they had the Creative Emmy Awards and the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series went to Kathy Bates as Charlie Harper (Two And A Half Men).
Thinker: Poor Chuck Lorre I think he misses Charlie harper Charlie Sheen so much and so do the orphans on the show. So he needs to bring back Charlie played by a tough woman like Bates, to play a Mom and Dad. Feel sorry for Lorre.
Netgabber: Lorre tries and tries to bring the sitcom back to a season high in ratings so now brings Miley Cyrus on the show.
Thinker: Cyrus might be a stimulant, a catalyst to give the ratings a rise on the show but something tells me it will take more than Miley Cyrus to keep Angus T. Jones who plays “Jake”on the show.
Netgabber: Well you might be right. . The latest video release by Angus T. Jones was
an outburst on how the show had impacted upon him in a negative and evil way. Read the article

Thinker: Maybe what Charlie Sheen once said about the torpedo of truth is in fact coming.
Netgabber: Have you read the article in The Guardian called
“Charlie Sheen: the road to rehab” by Emma Brockes?
Thinker: No

Thinker: The Lord has a way to work in mysterious ways.
Netgabber : Well it is 2014 and Two and a Half Men is coming to an end after 12 seasons! Yep, CBS president just announced that Two and a Half Men will be ending after next season.
Thinker: I will say it again, The Lord has a way to work in mysterious ways..
Netgabber : Lets end this netgabbing session with Charlie Sheen’s You Tube the – Ice Bucket Challenge with a BIG Twist. The END. Charlie Sheen is “Winning! Duh! “
